We followed the steps at DIY: Turn Your Fridge into a Gallery Wall, Make Photo Magnet Mosaics! to create our magnets. We created the magnets using this websites steps with a little variation. We did not use the dimensional magic glaze. This is because it was very difficult to put the glaze on our save the dates without any bubbles and keeping it evenly distributed. Also the glaze was rather expensive for the 100 save the dates that we created. But, these save the date magnets turned out really well. These magnets cost us $100 for 75 magnets.
If we were to do it again though we would just use a printer and magnetic printer paper. This method is extremely cheap, you have to buy magnetic printer paper but you can use your own printer at home. When creating these save the dates I cropped and sized the picture I wanted as a 3x2. Then I put as many pictures as I could on one piece of paper in Microsoft Word. I could put 9 on one piece. I inserted the magnetic printer paper and printed. I cut out each magnet and was done. These save the date magnets to me don't look as good in your hand as the ones from DIY: Turn Your Fridge into a Gallery Wall, Make Photo Magnet Mosaics! but when you put them on your refrigerator it is hard to tell the difference.
