Reasons to Buy Your Girlfriends Engagement Ring at Kay Jewelers

In this article I am not going to tell you to buy your girlfriend’s engagement ring from Kay Jewelers I am just going to tell you why I did.  I shopped around really hard to find the right engagement ring for my now fiancé and ended up at Kay’s and there were several reasons this was the case.  I was really torn between two places an online one, Blue Nile, and Kay’s but decided Kay’s would be better because I could see the ring and the ring never had to be in the mail to and from me. 

You Can Physically See Their Rings

When I first started looking for engagement rings for my then girlfriend I read several places that you can find the best price online.  I believe this is the case but I could not see those rings in person or see what they look like on my then girlfriends hand before I bought them.  I did see them on others hands and they looked really nice but my fiancé fingers are really small so I was worried what they looked like on someone else’s hands wasn’t what they would look like on her hand. 


The Manager at the Store was Very Helpful and Did Not Push

My fiancé and I walked into several jewelry stores and Kay’s we felt right at home.  Some stores seemed to think we were unintelligent, we are young, or that they could push us into buying a certain ring that they wanted to sell us.  At Kay’s the store manager was very helpful in the fact that she asked us if we had any questions and how she could help us.  She was very knowledgeable and we asked her opinion several times but every time we did we felt she gave us a genuine answer.   I spend several hours in her store shopping around and she spent all the time with me and I never felt rushed or that she was trying to sell me something I did not want.  She has since moved to a different Kay’s and we have followed her while looking for our two wedding rings.

They Built a Custom One for My Fiancé

My fiancé loves to be different and so she did not want a stock engagement ring.  My fiancé told the store manager what kind of ring she was looking for and the store manager suggested taking one of their promise rings and putting a diamond on it.  The main reason she did this was because my finance really loved that type of ring but the store manager also looked at my fiancé hands and thought it would look really good on her hand.  It does.

I Could Buy a Warranty and We Did Not Have to Ship It

Many engagement ring stores have warranties on their rings.  From Kay’s I got a warranty where as long as I can bring something in of the ring they will fix it.  Several places have this but what put the icing on the warranty was I was not responsible for sending it anywhere like you would have to do with an online store.  There are Kay stores everywhere therefore no matter where we go I can always take it in and have it fixed.
